My daughter's name is Kelly Lalita inspired by the Sanskrit name Kelilalita,
which means the beautiful and playful past times of the Divine.
Lalita is also the name of a beautiful cowherd goddess. She was known to wear a dress the color of peacock feathers, had eyes like that of a doe, and lived in a heavenly realm much like a perfect village
where every word is song and every movement is a dance.
Lalita is also known as another name of the Mother Goddess (Durga/Parvati) in the Vedic paradigm.
I found out later after my daughter was born that in Greek, Lalita means talkative. How fitting!
